Job Description
SUMMARY:
Bonitz, Inc., an Employee Owned Company, is seeking an accounts receivable clerk. This position is responsible for providing professional level to support to the organization and accounting department. Duties include but are not limited: office support, accounting functions, and collections. This position works directly with the Controller and accounting staff to support essential functions and daily operations. Must have ability to work independently with little direction, as well as collaborates with other team members to accomplish short and long-term tasks in a time sensitive manner.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

Maintaining bookkeeping databases and spreadsheets, updating information as needed

Communicating with clients and customers to request and arrange payments

Recording and tracking payments in databases
-
Updating client accounts based on payment or contact information
-
Respond to internal and external inquiries related to Accounts Receivables

Additional duties as assigned by management
-
Work closely with sales team regarding customer account issues
-
Daily review of aging reports
-
Contact customers to collect on past due accounts
-
Resolve A/R disputes
-
Resolve unapplied payments
-
Handle cash applications
BASIC REQUIREMENTS:
-
Six months to one year of related experience and/or training
-
Strong time management and prioritization skills
-
Ability to accurately process and record a large volume of numerical data
-
Proficiency with MS Office and email
-
Ability to figure things out with little to no direction, self-starter
-
Must be able to multi-task, good time management skills
-
Attention to detail, prioritize and organize workflow
-
Strong written and verbal communication
-
Excellent typing and data entry skills with accuracy and attention to detail

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Outlook, Excel, Power Point, Office 365 preferred
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Associates Degree or higher preferred

Knowledge of general accounting functions

Experience with data entry
