REGIONAL DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS

Job Description

SUMMARY:

The Regional Director of Operations will be reporting directly to the Senior Vice President of Operations the Regional Director of Operations (RDO), has full operational leadership and management responsibility for profit and loss of $40 - $80 million in revenue across multiple regions, to include office and field operations.  Directs the operational segments of multiple profit centers towards the achievement of established policies, goals, and objectives.  Provides guidance to their respective Director of Operations in charge of these functions by analyzing and appraising overall effectiveness.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Directs and leads 3-4 Director of Operations (possibly a Production Manager in some instances) on areas of improvement and stated company goals and objectives.

  • Provides guidance on operational plans, budgets, projects, and activities to support and accomplish strategic goals.  Monitors budgets against established financial goals.

  • Evaluates assigned regions regularly and systematically, through weekly one on one’s, and visits to each location every 6-8 weeks or as needed. 

  • Evaluates and pursues geographic areas of expansion, to include both new start up opportunities as well as acquisitions.

  • Maintains a high level of planning to ensure adequate management development and to provide for capable management succession.

  • Works collaboratively with the SVP of OP’s to create the processes necessary to manage the organization's current activities and its projected growth.

  • Maintains a high level of accountability across their respective area of responsibility. 

  • Ensures adequate and consistent information flow on operational issues to their respective regions.

  • Evaluates P&L statements and financials.  Ensures associates understand how the company makes money, and how the individual roles contribute to that effort.

  • Develops and mentors’ current leaders and associates into possible future leadership roles.

  • May negotiate vendor pricing and projects with vendors at a high level.

  • Possess a strong commitment to a culture of safety for all associates.

  • Proficient Microsoft Outlook skills, along with experience with an Operating System at a high level

  • Bachelor’s Degree is desired but will consider experience in lieu of it.
